“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”[Proverbs 29:18]
“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. [II Kings 6:16-17]
“Saint John 5:19. Then He did not do nothing within Himself. No prophet ever did anything within himself, until first God showed what to do. What a mistake Moses made when he went out without the vision of God and smote down the Egyptian, thought he'd liberate them with his hands, because he thought he had a lot of faith and could do it, because he was called for the job. No matter how much you're called for the job, God has to do the leading. See? He failed of all of his schooling and his military mind and his training as a great Egyptian leader. But yet it failed, 'cause God had a program and we've got to work according to God's program. No matter what we do, how smart we are, we've got to humble ourselves and work according to God's program. Amen. So he failed and God had to keep him another forty years to educate him. So what it was, that he must forget himself, and it's not him, but it was God.” [Gifts, Brooklyn NY, 56-1207]
“And I said, "Again, the Scripture said this, that, 'the Angels of God are encamped about those who fear Him,' so in another world where the five senses does not declare." The five senses only contacts this world. Now there is another one called faith. But by faith you walk up a ladder, and finally you can get so high until you break into another world, which is vision. There you can see. Just like if you never knowed what this was you was feeling with your sense of feeling, never seen it; then your eyes come open, you could see it. It'd be all a mystery to that person who never could see. It'd be a mystery to him, but yet that's it.” [Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed, Jeffersonville IN, 63-0728]
“And when the great crisis come, which always does, then when Gehazi, being just a lukewarm church member, when he had not seen what Elijah had seen... Because Elijah was used to walking by faith, and he was looking at the Unseen all the time, and he knew that God had said in the Psalms, "The Angels of God are encamped about those who fear Him." That was enough for Elijah, but Gehazi had just halfway believed it. He way just a church member. So Elijah said to the Lord; he said, "Lord God, give a sign here; just open this man's eyes and let him see what's around him." And when God opened his eyes, he saw horses of fire... drawn by chariots of fire. And they were all around that old prophet. They were there all the time, but he just didn't see them. And tonight, I'd say the same thing: that the God Who stood yonder, in the 1st chapter of the books of Acts, and as He was taken up, and the skies become under His feet, that same Jesus said, "Lo, I am with you always. I will never leave you or forsake you. And the works that I do, shall you always. I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." [Looking At The Unseen, Jeffersonville IN, 58-1003]
“For, you see, faith sees what God wants done. Oh, I hope this goes in. Faith doesn't look at the present time. Faith doesn't see this here. Faith looks to see what God wants, and it works accordingly. That's what faith does. It sees what God wants, and what God wants done, and faith operates through that. 162 Faith is a long-range vision. It don't lower its sights. It holds to the target. Amen! Any good shooter knows that. See? That, it's long range. It's a--it's a telescope. It's a binocular, that you don't look around here. You don't use binoculars to look to see what time it is; see, you don't use that. But you use binoculars to look a way off. And faith does that. Faith picks up God's binoculars, both of them, both sides, the New and Old Testament, and sees every promise that He made. And faith sees it out yonder, and faith chooses that regardless of what the present tense says here. He looks at the end. He don't drop his sights down to look this a way. He looks out yonder. He keeps the crosshair dead center on the Word. That's what faith does. That's the faith that's in a man that does those things.” [Why Cry Speak, Jeffersonville IN, 63-0714M]
“Now, we wonder if we could see God. Is there a way that we could see Him? Now, it was the only way God had, trying Job out. He said, "I have heard of Thee, with the hearing of the ear, but now I see Thee. But now I see Thee, with my eyes." The vision of the invisible had been made plain. He seen the cloud rolling around, he heard the flashing of the lightning, or saw it. And seen the roaring of the thunder, maybe on a clear day, and he seen God was in that cloud and in that lightning. He could see God, with his natural eye. See, because the invisible was made visible. The visible vision of others was then vindicated, clear, to the natural eye.”[I Have Heard But Now I See, Shreveport LA, 65-1127E]
“A spiritual dream is interpreted, rightly interpreted, is the same as a vision. And what is a vision? A vision is the forecast of future events; it foretells the thing before it happens. And that's the way God always vindicated whether it was true or not, or whether the man (that was in the Old Testament) was supposed to be a prophet, what he said come to pass. Then they knowed; if this man said this, and it kept constantly coming to pass. Now, that man cannot just be hands layed on him, or shook up, and give a gift; he is born with that gift, born in him when he's born, before he's born.” [We Have Seen His Star And Have Come To Worship Him, Tucson AZ, 63-1216]
“A vision does not heal you. A vision is what God is showing to build your faith to a place to accept the finished work of Christ at Calvary. How many knows that? Now, how many thoroughly understands it? See? There's nothing I have to heal you or the vision won't heal you.” [Show Us The Father And It'll Satisfy, SPINDALE NC, 56-0422]
“When a man once catches that vision of the invisible God and know that He's always present, there's something that stabilizes that man's thinking; it stabilizes his actions, and in the time of distress and trouble, it'll still make him look upward and above the things that are happening around him, because he's looking at the Unseen, yet by promise. Now, how Abraham, not only did he see the Unseen... And the reason he believed it, was because God said it. And if we being dead in Christ, we are Abraham's seed, and if the Spirit that was in Christ dwells in us, it does the same thing. It takes every Divine promise of God that's in His Bible and calls it present tense, and rests itself upon there.” [Looking At The Unseen, Jeffersonville IN, 58-1003]
And today there is no need--there's no need of even trying to approach it with an intellectual faith. You'll never be able to do it. You'll go from church to church, and from prayer line to prayer line, and never get it. You've got to come to the place where it is eternally settled, once for all; He either is God or He is not God. "And Jesus said, 'I am the Vine, and ye are the branches." And the Vine bore the first branch, and the first branch was Pentecost. And the Pentecostal blessing is recorded in the book of Acts. And if the first branch was Pentecost, the second branch will have to also be Pentecost, and it'll have to bear the same type of a church and behavior the first branch beared. Our Bible Study Subject for July2008: "Fear Not: For They That Be With Us Are More Than They That Be With Them"
We pray that God will make the unseen visible to you to enable you catch the vision of who you are. Remember us also in your prayers, that our scarce resources will be directed to where it is needed the most.
