“Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.” [Psalm 142:1-7]
“And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? [Luke 13:11, 12, 13, 16]
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” [Matthew 18:18]
“Now, to make it so the little kiddies would understand. When Christ came... Say for instance, today, that each one of you were sentenced to death. And you were setting in a prison, knowing that sunrise tomorrow morning you had to die... And many that is sinful, and away from God, is setting in that place this morning. Many people, who are real good people, are setting in that condition this morning. Many of you setting here with cancer, with tumor, and blindness, some of you setting in all kinds of conditions, yet God sent Christ to open the prison doors, to set you free. You say, "Is sickness a bondage?" Yes. Jesus plainly explained it, when He said to the woman that had been stooped over. He healed her, laid His hands upon her, and she raised up. And they begin to find fault, the teachers did. He said, "Ought not this daughter of Abraham be loosed, set free from this bondage that she's been in of Satan?" So Christ our great Redeemer has come to set men and women free from sin and free from sickness. And when He died at Calvary, "He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes we were healed." Now, that's the good news. That's the Gospel. The Gospel is that Christ died in the sinner's place, that Christ taken the sick man's place. Christ taken the sinner's place. Christ taken the worried man's place. Christ taken the maniac's place. Christ took every place and freed us from every affliction and every sin that the devil put us in the prison house by. Christ come to pardon us freely. Everything goes free.” [55-0410M Proof Of His Resurrection, Jeffersonville IN]
“When Christ died, He committed His Spirit to God before He left the--the cross. He said, "Into Thy hands I commend My Spirit." And the Bible said His soul went to hell and preached (that's His conscience and what He was... ) to the spirits was in prison and His body went to the grave. Now see, He was behind a barricade of Scriptures. He couldn't rise for three days. And His Spirit was back up here in the Presence of God. Now, after three days, that barricade was taken down, because the Scripture was fulfilled. And His Spirit went to the soul, and the soul went to the body, and He rose up. He said before He died, He said, "I have power to lay My life down. I have power to take it up again." Now, think of it. Every one of you in here, as far as I know tonight is Christians. Now, look. The thing that's in you now, the Spirit that's in you now is the same Spirit that will raise you up. You have power to lay your life down. You're doing it right now for Christ. And then you have power to take it up again. See? You have power to lay it down and power to take it up. For it's the very Spirit of God that's in you that raises you up, is the very Spirit of God that was in Christ that raised Him up. So, you have power to lay it down; you have power to take it up.” [61-0808  Thy House, Tifton GA]
“He gave that commission to His church. Now, let's see what the church did about it. Peter, one of the key men, when he was in prison one time, all hopes was gone, bound in shackles, a Pillar of Fire, an Angel of Light came in the building and loosed the shackles off of Peter's feet and hands, opened up the door before him, and delivered him from the prison.” [55-0220E Contend For The Faith, Phoenix AZ]
“Now, man, in his carnal condition and his mental conceptions, he always pulls hisself away from God. It's been since the beginning, that man longs to see the other side, but he's been bound in a prison house. Sometimes tradition of man puts him there, that they teach traditions of different forms and motives of how to worship. And he puts man under bondage, under--in his tradition. And that has been since the world began. It's been that way. And he's shut up in the--into prison houses. But man always has longed to see the other side. And any little thing that looks a little supernatural, the human being will run for it, because it's some sort of a promise across the border, just across the lane. And what makes Him do that is because he's created in the image of his Maker, Almighty God. He's created to be a worshipper of God, and he must find some place to give an outlet to that feeling.” [55-0410M Proof Of His Resurrection, Jeffersonville IN]
“This Holy Spirit that's in me now, will see to it that I have a young immortal body and never go with... The Holy Spirit that's in you will see that the gray hairs will fade away and whatever it is. And you--and the old age, if you're so old, and whiskers down, and walking like that, it don't make one bit of difference. That same Holy Spirit, He will just snap it right back at that day, just at a young man and woman. That's the Bible. That's right. The Spirit that's in us right now, right now. Not one that will come, the One that's in us now. It's God in you now. And He will raise... You can raise yourself up. And why can't you do it now? Because see, there's Scripture holding you; you got to wait till the rapture. See, there you are. You got to stay right there. See? You're not allowed to get this high. If it would be, why, we'd--I'd say we'd build us a little private world. You'd be living over in one world and me on the other one, and then there would be no coming of the Lord Jesus. And what would it be?” [61-0808 Thy House, Tifton GA]
“Now, each one of you have power the same way, because you are sons and daughters of God. And the very Spirit that's in you this morning, the Holy Spirit that's in you this morning, that same Holy Spirit will raise you up. So you have power to raise yourself back up. When you die, your soul will go into to--the--under the altar of God, not in... right in the presence of God. Now, your spirit will go to God, but you cannot come back. You remember in the Bible it said the spirit--the souls under the altar crying, "Lord, how long, how long?" They could not return until the Scripture's fulfilled. And like Christ could not return till the Scripture's fulfilled. Then after the--all has been done, all the suffering's over, and the brethren has suffered the same things, where we've suffered like they suffered and so forth... Then on that day you'll know exactly where you're buried. Your spirit will be turned loose from God and will come to the soul.” [61-0813 Faith, Jeffersonville IN]
“God don't have little weak parts and big strong parts; He's altogether God! And if you had enough of God in you, till It was just barely a shadow, that's enough power to make a new earth. That's enough power to make a new moon and a new system. It's God, and it's strong. And right now in every believer in here has Life Eternal, which is God's Spirit in you; enough power that'll raise up the dead, that'll heal the sick, that'll set orbits in conditions. But you're... It's controlled by a law, that Spirit that's in you. You are sons and daughters of God. That same Spirit that you've got in you, will raise yourself up at the day of the resurrection.” [61-0723M The Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN]
“When you are saved, God gives you faith to rise from the muck of the earth. Your faith overcomes the things of the world. What is your faith? Your faith is that act that God has did in you to make you a son of God. You quit your lying, you quit your stealing, you quit your drinking, because your faith rises you up above it. Amen. If you don't do it, you don't have any faith. "And by faith are you saved, and that through grace." As much as your faith will be released, that's how much power you can have, because in you dwells the power to make heavens and earth. God dwells in you, and you are sons and daughters of God. Amen. There you are. But it's your faith. Jesus said, "According to your faith, be it unto you. If thou canst believe, all things are possible. Verily, I say unto you, if you say unto this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt, but believe that what you have said..." “ [61-0723M The Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN]
