“And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, according to your faith be it unto you.” [Matthew 9:28-29]
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” [Hebrews 11:6]
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” [Romans 10:17]
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” [Romans 10:17]“Now, you've got five senses in your body. God gave you those five senses to contact your earthly home. That's see, taste, feel, smell, hear. But that has nothing to do with God. There isn't any of them that will declare God, not a one of them. No, because they are only given to you to contact your earthly home. See? See, taste, feel, smell, hear (See?), that has nothing to do with God at all. And people rely really upon them. But you--you--you mustn't do that. Faith is something different. Faith is the sixth sense which you contact God. You can only contact God by the sixth sense which is faith. "He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and a rewarder of those that diligently seek after Him.” [62-0729  Perseverant, Victoria BC]
“Here, see this Bible? Now, I want that Bible. Now, I'm looking at it. Now, I want it. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things I do not see. See what I mean? Here, in my pocket, I think there's an old Barlow knife I've carried for years. Now, I do not see that knife. I do not feel that knife. I do not taste that knife. I do not smell that knife. But I know that knife is in there. How do you know? Because I believe it's in there. Now, if it is not in there, faith will put it in there, if it's not there. That chokes you, I know. But--but that's true. If you believe, all things are possible. You're afraid to take God, friends. You're scared. Now, I might've left that knife laying on the dresser where I changed clothes a while ago. But just as sure if that knife is on the dresser right now, if I believe it with all my heart, it'll be in my pocket. That chokes you. But God is able to put it there if you believe it.” [47-0412 Faith Is The Substance, Oakland CA]
“This is the keynote to the Scriptures. Faith, he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. This world was made by faith. Things were shaped in existence by faith. God just seen that dewdrop hanging out there in the air, that whatever you want to call it, and He just spake, and said, "Let there be light." And there was light. And then He brought the land forth and dried it off and so forth. That was all done by an act of faith with God. The whole world is made by faith. You're here tonight by faith. Many of you told your employer you'd be back tomorrow to work. How do you know you will? You told your wife, "I'll be home after service." How do you know you will? You told the person maybe to come, a cab, to pick you up at eleven o'clock. How do you know you'll be here? You may be in eternity before eleven o'clock tonight. See? But it's all by faith. Everything's by faith.” [47-0412 Faith Is The Substance, Oakland CA]
“Now, I think that's marvelous, and that gives illiterate people like me a chance, everybody, to believe it, because we hear it. "And faith cometh by hearing, and hearing of the Word of God." Then we accept That, and believe That. And upon the basis of our faith in That, we are saved, healed. And whatevermore we draw from God, comes from an unseen Resource. Christians; the whole armor of Christianity is faith. Everything that we have is unseen. The only things that's real is unseen, unexplained. The things that can be explained are not real. They're superficial and die. But the things that cannot be explained are immortal, the whole realm. Look at the armor of Christianity. Love, what part of you is love? Love, joy, faith, long-suffering, meekness, patient. See? None of those things, you can't see them. They're unseen, but yet we believe them. Love never dies. Faith is the--is the victory. We believe things that we don't see.” [63-0117 Awakening Jesus, Tempe AZ]
“That's the reason Jesus could discern what was in the people's thinking, because He was the Word. And "if the Word abides in you..." And then it isn't you; it's the Word that goes out and discerns. And there's only one thing that can handle that, that Word. It isn't an education. I'll assure you of that. Faith is the only thing that can yield that sword of faith. As I said the other night, faith in God's Word will cut a hole through any difficult. But you got to believe it. She had many hindrances. She did herself, but her faith didn't have any hindrances. No. Faith don't have any hindrance. Faith just believes it. It don't have a hindrance at all. You're already past the sound barrier, as the lady was talking of. Faith don't have a hindrance. You might have it, but your faith doesn't have it. Your faith has no hindrances at all.” [62-0608 Perseverance, Aberdeen NC]
“When you are saved, God gives you faith to rise from the muck of the earth. Your faith overcomes the things of the world. What is your faith? Your faith is that act that God has did in you to make you a son of God. You quit your lying, you quit your stealing, you quit your drinking, because your faith rises you up above it. Amen. If you don't do it, you don't have any faith. "And by faith are you saved, and that through grace." As much as your faith will be released, that's how much power you can have, because in you dwells the power to make heavens and earth. God dwells in you, and you are sons and daughters of God. Amen. There you are. But it's your faith. Jesus said, "According to your faith, be it unto you. If thou canst believe, all things are possible. Verily, I say unto you, if you say unto this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt, but believe that what you have said..."” [61-0723M  The Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN]
“Now, faith is the substance, and by it, we understand, all of those things are done. It's not a--it's not a imagination, it is a substance; especially Perfect Faith. That's what I'm talking on tonight, getting to Perfect Faith. It is not an imagination. 42    Now, others, have people come say, "Oh, I got all faith; oh, I sure have." Well, what are you standing here for, then? See? See? See, your--your very actions prove that you haven't got what you're talking about. See? If you had faith, then what you stand in the prayer line for? See? What do you do these things for? 43    See, if you had Perfect Faith, you'd look right straight to God and believe it, and walk away. You would--you would have no need of coming into a prayer line. You'd have no need of these things, because your faith has done made it so. See? What would be the use for me saying, "I got to put a shirt on"? I got a shirt on! 44    "How do you know you got a shirt on?" "Well, I see it, feel it, and I know it's there." Well, that's just how real that when Perfect Faith takes a hold. You don't--you don't need no more. It's already done; you know it. "How do you know it?" "Faith tells me so!" That's it. See? Do you get it now, what I mean? That Perfect Faith.” [63-0825E Perfect Faith, Jeffersonville IN]
“Now, if we lose faith, then we will never get a prayer answered by God. "For He that cometh to God must first believe that he is, and a rewarder of those that diligently seek after Him." So if we lose faith, our prayers are annulled; we get nowhere. So it's all that we can think of this morning is to hold onto faith. Then if we lose faith, all our hopes is gone. And if we lose faith, all our spiritual reality is gone. For you cannot have faith in things that you see. For the things that you see are all perishable. If we look at some great person, or great minister, or a great congregation, they will all perish someday. And if we look at a great nation, or a great weapon, they'll all perish someday. And then we must live by faith of those things that science does not declare. It's by faith that we believe.” [58-0720M By Faith Moses, Jeffersonville IN]
